Do not assume every record syncs
Procore’s current QuickBooks Online connector documentation, for example, lists supported editions and specific records that do and do not sync. Read the field-level documentation, not only a sales page. Record whether each object imports, exports, syncs both ways, updates after edits, or transfers only after approval. Note frequency and manual triggers.
Choose sources of truth
QuickBooks should remain the controlled general ledger. Project software may own operational scope, estimates, budgets, commitments, change logs, field records, and invoice preparation. Decide which system creates each customer, job, vendor, code, bill, and invoice.
Two-way sync does not mean users should edit anywhere without rules. Assign correction ownership so an edit in one platform is not overwritten or duplicated by another.

Security and administrator ownership
